Felix Alin | Building an Identity Security career at ID North
Meet Felix Alin and explore his journey within the field of Identity Security, a field he was not familiar with at first but quickly grew interested in.
How did you first discover Identity Security?
I discovered the field when I began the process of applying to ID North. I had actually never heard of Identity Security before, but the more I read, the more I realized how interesting and important it is.
What do you find most exciting about working in Identity Security?
For me, the most interesting part is the combination of technology and how it is used to address real needs within an organization. It is not just about systems and processes; it is about creating structure, security, and order in something that could otherwise become very complex and risky.
What has your journey looked like, from the classroom to becoming a specialist?
My journey began at ID North through one of our introduction programs for the products we work with. After that, I worked on a few internal projects to quickly get into our way of working, and shortly afterward I received my first client assignment.
Has the role in Identity Security lived up to your expectations?
Yes. We play an important role in organizations, helping them gain better structure, control, and protection over their digital identities.
In what ways has ID North supported your development?
Through the introduction program, internal projects, and the opportunity to work on real client assignments early on, I have been able to develop quickly. A large part of my development also comes from my colleagues, who are always willing to share their knowledge and provide support when needed.
What are your three tips for someone who wants to take a similar path?
- Reach out to someone at ID North and explore the opportunities available.
- If you already work within an organization, find out whether you are working with Identity Security or access management (IAM).
- Read up on what Identity Security is and which products are commonly used in the field. It is a great way to get started.
